Things happen at Artjärvi

The Society's Activity Centre, Viestikallio, is located at Artjärvi municipality's eastern side, along the Kimonkyläntie (local road 174), slightly north-west from highway 6. The distance from Helsinki via Porvoo and Koskenkylä is circa 100 kilometers. From Kouvola circa 35 kilometers, and from Lahti circa 50 kilometers.

The activity centre is on a rocky hillock, where we have constructed multiple buildings, and other things. The plot contains Sauna, radio station, many towers, and antennas for varying bands, research room, observatory, and storage rooms.

For radio amateur, and radio research activity the plot location is excellent for its "radio silence". This being countryside, there are very sparse population in area. For the same reasons, amateur astronomers are also interested of this site for its low background light levels.
