The Invasion of the HF worms April 13-16, 2001

An OH2Z HF Task Force invaded the demilitarized zone of Åland Islands on Friday the 13th, and spent their Easter having fun with digital communications.

From late Friday evening to early Sunday morning we were active on HF amateur radio frequencies, using digital modes such as CW, RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV. No phone connections were made.

The propagation was quite miserable, and we only had a couple of hundred QSO's. We were pleased, however, to give many amateurs a new country on digimodes.
